Set an alarm and make sure to rest up for an absolutely unbelievable mid-June event built around Mike Birbiglia’s indie comedy SLEEPWALK WITH ME to be held @communitytheaterny in Catskill, NY.
We’ll be joined by the film’s co-writer and producer, the legendary @iraglass who will take part in a Q&A, moderated by his wife, writer and director @susannafogel. If that wasn’t enough, we’ll also be welcoming another creative power couple, soundtrack artists @matesofstate –– who will set the tone for the evening with some truly top-shelf pre-film indie pop!
The feature presentation, Sleepwalk With Me, is an acclaimed indie comedy about aspiring stand-up Matt Pandamiglio (Mike Birbiglia) who, unable to express his true feelings about his girlfriend and his stalled career, begins to express his anxiety through increasingly funny and dangerous sleepwalking incidents. Having originated as a hit, one-man, off-Broadway show, the film adaptation won the NEXT Audience Award at Sundance – and is beloved by critics and audiences alike.

Ira Glass is the host and creator of the public radio program This American Life. The show's been on the air since 1995 and is heard each week by over 3 million people, as a podcast and radio show. He worked with Mike Birbiglia on the screenplays of two films, Sleepwalk with Me and Don't Think Twice.
Susanna Fogel is a director and screenwriter, known for films like Booksmart, The Spy Who Dumped Me and Cat Person (where she met her now-husband doing a Q&A!), and TV shows The Flight Attendant and the Peacock series Ponies, starring Haley Lu Richardson and Emilia Clarke.
Mates of State are an indie pop duo and husband-and-wife team of Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel. The duo has released five EPs and eight full-length albums – most recently the 2015 EP You’re Going to Make It and the 2024 single ‘Somewhere’.Their song ‘Now’ appears on the Sleepwalk With Me soundtrack, and they also toured as the house band for This American Life.
